South Burnett Taekwon-Do Inc has clubs throughout the South Burnett region, which include Nanango, Maidenwell, Kingaroy and Yarraman.
The South Burnett has more than a dozen major public festivals each year. Each year the South Burnett Club participates in the annual Funfest Festival. The Shinson Warriors have also participated in our demonstrations and the Funfest festivities. Many demonstrations have been enjoyed throughout the community, such as Karinya Aged Care.
The Tarong Energy Open Day was a huge success, due to the Club’s support with donating their time and effort in helping out on the day. In return, a donation was well received from the Tarong Energy Corporation.
We were also fortunate to have four members compete in the 2011 USTF Internationals in the United States, Denver, Colorado, bringing home one gold and one silver medal.
The South Burnett is located on top of Australia’s Great Dividing Range just two hours drive north-west of Brisbane and directly west of the Sunshine Coast. We’re Queensland’s largest wine region, home to the State’s biggest vineyards. We’re also home to two of Queensland’s biggest inland waterways (Lake Boondooma and the Bjelke-Petersen Dam), and the Bunya Mountains.
